General

Bonapol is an innovation-driven producer of high-quality purified pollens for use in the pharmaceutical industry. Bonapol operates primarily in South Bohemia (Czechia), a region with a healthy environment, low industrial pollution and high natural diversity. Bonapol collects most of its pollen from plants that grow wild; in addition, it grows some species in its own monocultures established from certified seed sources. For pollen processing, Bonapol uses advanced technologies gentle to pollen grains and their active pharmaceutical ingredients. Bonapol is a customer-oriented supplier ready to accommodate even very special quality, quantity, or species requirements.

History

2005: Bonapol was established as a joint-stock company with the intention to combine professional skills of plant biologists together with earlier experiences with pollen production.
2006: Bonapol started operations at the Center for Biological Technologies, an incubator for green-field R&D projects established by the Institute of Physical Biology (part of the University of South Bohemia) and the Institute of Systems Biology and Ecology (part of the Czech Academy of Sciences).
2010: Bonapol has moved to a new own production facility with a substantially increased production capacity.
2013–2017: Bonapol focuses on improvements in the management, Quality Management System, laboratory operations, and R&D projects.
Since 2018: Bonapol focuses on technology investments to meet even the most demanding requirements of its customers.
